Our facilities
Our main campus in Hendon is leafy, sustainable and safe, and definitely has the buzz of London too. We’ve designed unique spaces for study and socialising, whether our students are working on assignments or catching up over a coffee.
- 24/7 library: Loads of space for quiet study and group work and the best views on campus.
- Social spots: Meet friends in the Quad or at the bar in MDX House.
- Food outlets: Find your favourite on campus, like Greggs, Tortilla, Starbucks and many more!
- Fitness facilities: Cheap, no-hassle memberships at the Fitness Pod gym plus team sports facilities.
MDX House
A place for students to meet for a meal, enjoy a big night out, or just chill. There's the Cube Lounge Bar, pool tables and Eat Street food court with places to eat.
Places for worship
Our community is diverse. Whatever religion students follow, they're likely to meet others with the same beliefs. On campus, we have a prayer room. In the local area, there are different places of worship that welcome students.
Grove Atrium
Music, design, fine art, film and fashion all happen at the Grove. We have some of the best creative facilities in the UK at the Grove with a state-of-the-art TV studio, 3D workshops, extensive photography facilities and film production suites.
Child care support
Our nursery provides early years education and full-day care for children aged six weeks to five years. Our nursery is here to help staff and students to successfully combine work or academic study with parenthood.
The Quad
A place to stop on the way to lectures to study, talk with friends or scroll through Instagram. The Rickett Quadrangle or Quad is a light, bright space where to spend time.
What to eat and drink
We have cafes, restaurants and 'grab and go' stops across our campus so students can always find a quick snack or a proper meal.
- Costa coffee
- Subway
- Greggs
- Tortilla | California Burritos & Tacos
- Fairtrade and Global Food
- We’ve got a local convenience store open until 8pm for your everyday essentials
Lecture theatres and classrooms
Our eight modern lecture theatres have space for 100 to 350 students and use the latest multimedia technology including surround sound.
We also have 11 micro-labs where students can use computers as part of their class.
West Stand at StoneX Stadium
We’ve invested £24 million to build a high-tech training centre in the West Stand at StoneX Stadium, home of Saracens Rugby.
Our centre of excellence for simulation-based learning puts us ahead of other unis with incredible tech that links classroom theory with professional skills.
Making our campus sustainable
Looking after the planet is important to us and our students. Around campus, we’re making lots of changes (big and small) to use resources wisely and reduce our impact on the environment. One area we’re working on is reducing single-use plastics.
From January to June 2019:
- Water fountains used over 270,000 times
- 1,185 reusable cups sold
- £4,700 saved by students thanks to the 20p discount
