WEBINAR SUPPORT BRIEF

As a conversion activity for September 2026 entry, the International Marketing team are planning a series of webinars.

Your role in this series of webinars is to offer insights into student life at MDX, provide support, and create an engaging and informative presentation. This will assist offer holders in understanding what to expect at Middlesex University.

Each webinar will last for 60 minutes and will include a presentation followed by a Q&A session. Please note the requirements below.

One week before the webinar: SLIDE PREPARATION

Create PowerPoint slides with the following information:

  • An introduction of yourself (name, country, programme of study, and the year of study)
  • Personal experiences relevant to the webinar topic

Make the slides visually appealing by incorporating pictures that illustrate your experiences.

It should not take you more than 15 minutes to do so.

Send your presentation slides one week in advance to f.guillemot@mdx.ac.uk

On the day of the webinar: TECHNICAL CHECKS

  • Join the webinar 10 minutes before it begins using the link provided in advance.
  • Ensure your camera and microphone are in working order before the webinar commences.
  • Verify that your laptop is fully charged and ready for the presentation.

During the webinar: ASSISTING THE MDX STAFF MEMBER

  • During the staff member's presentation, copy and paste relevant questions from participants into a direct chat box with the presenter. This will help organize questions for the Q&A session.
  • Try to respond to questions that are outside the main webinar topic, such as inquiries about application status.
  • After the presentations, the main presenter will address the questions you've selected for them.
  • You can share relevant links to answer specific questions and type responses in the chat box.
  • Feel free to verbally answer any new questions directed to you, but be mindful not to interrupt the main presenter.

  • Maintain your friendly and welcoming demeanor throughout the webinar.
  • Your role is to create an engaging presentation, assist in gathering questions, and offer valuable insights into student life at MDX.
  • Ensure the webinar runs smoothly and is a beneficial experience for offer holders.
